The original green chapel was built in Ticháček Forest in 1897, on the site of the visions of the Virgin Mary that appeared to Kristina Ringlová here in 1892-1895. This chapel was deliberately set alight and burnt down on 8 July 2010. That very same evening, the councillors and citizens of Suchý Důl decided to rebuild the chapel. A public collection was organised to pay for the restoration work. The proceeds raised meant that the preparations for the work could begin as soon as spring 2011, and the foundation stone of the new chapel was laid and consecrated on 12 June 2011. The finished chapel (an almost faithful copy of the original one) was consecrated on 8 July 2012.
