The Church of St. George and St. Martin stands on a hill above the Stěnava River in the middle of the cemetery. Previously, a wooden church stood on its site, which is first mentioned in the sources in 1384 and in the middle of the 17th century an early Baroque tower was added to it. It was preserved after the Baroque reconstruction of the church in 1692-98. It is the only church of the entire Broumov group that is the work of the builder Martin Allio, who had previously carried out a Baroque reconstruction of the monastery church of St. Vojtěch in Broumov at the request of Abbot Sartorius.
The church in Martínkovice is based on the plan of a Greek cross. The central part of the nave is surmounted by a dome, where all the surfaces served as a space for the fresco decoration by Felix Antonín Scheffler, depicting scenes from the life of the Virgin Mary, St. George and St. Martin. The main altar is decorated with statues of St. Lawrence and St. Stephen from the early 18th century. In 1990, the church in Martínkovice was robbed and the thieves took several precious statues, including wooden figures from the church's crib. The church organ is one of the most valuable organs preserved in the Broumov region in almost its original state. The author of the instrument from 1769 was Broumov organ builder Franz Süssmuth. Recently, the church underwent a general renovation, which was financially provided by the Ministry of Culture of the Czech Republic, the church and the municipality of Martínkovice.
