This traditional exhibition charts the history of the town of Police nad Metují and the surrounding area. The exhibition is located in the historical setting of the 13th-century Benedictine Monastery and includes the abbot's quarters and the abbot’s private Art Nouveau chapel.
The tour also includes an old two-storey timbered school built in 1785 at no. 15 Hvězdecká ulice (Hvězdecká street). The school features a reconstruction of a period schoolroom, including teacher and pupils. In addition, the building houses an exhibition dedicated to the history of textile production in the Police region, as well as spaces for occasional exhibitions.
